More about browse by category
Hiyr hires across six groups. Each category page names the trades in that group and links a hire page where one already exists.
Trades
Each trade page is the national note for that kind of work.
- Hire CSCS labourers directly, an alternative to a labour agency
- Verified cleaners
- Verified electricians
- Verified carpenters
More about trades
Each trade page is the national note for that kind of work. It explains what Hiyr checks and where the city pages are. Hiyr is a marketplace. It does not employ the people on the profiles and it does not send a gang.
Cities
City hubs collect the hire pages written for that place.
More about cities
City hubs collect the hire pages written for that place. A provider is listed on a city page only when their profile matches the trade and the city. Test profiles and locations outside the UK are left off.
Trade and city pages
These are the city pages that exist today.
- CSCS labourers in London, without going through an agency
- CSCS labourers in Birmingham, without the agency mark-up
- Cleaners in London
- Cleaners in Birmingham
- Electricians in Birmingham
- Carpenters in London
More about trade and city pages
These are the city pages that exist today. They explain how to hire in that place. They are not a claim that someone is free this week. If a list on the page is empty, post the job anyway. Publishing it is free.
Questions
What does ID-checked mean?
Hiyr asks for photo ID and proof of right to work, plus the certificates that trade needs, and a member of staff reviews them before the profile can be hired. Read the dates on the profile before you book.
When do I pay?
Posting a job is free and searching profiles is free. Payments are held until you confirm the work. The service fee is shown before you confirm the hire.
Is Hiyr an agency?
No. Hiyr is a marketplace. You choose who to hire. Hiyr does not employ the provider and it does not supply labour the way an agency does.
Is there a page for every UK town?
No. This page links only to the hire URLs Hiyr publishes. If your site is in another town, post the job with the real location.
