Hire CSCS labourers directly, an alternative to a labour agency

If you have been looking for a labourer agency, or a CSCS labourer agency, you can hire on Hiyr instead. Post the job free, shortlist ID-checked profiles, and choose the person. Hiyr is a marketplace. It does not employ labourers and it does not send a gang. The launch cities are London and Birmingham.

• Post the job free: Searching profiles is free.
• Read ID-checked profiles: Choose the person.
• Confirm the work: Payment is held until you confirm the work.

An agency labourer is someone a labour agency employs or engages and then allocates. Labour hire on Hiyr is the other way round: the labourer has a profile, you read it, and you hire them directly. Searching for a labourer agency and searching for an agency labourer land in the same kind of result. This page is the alternative.

Typical tasks are clearance, mixing, moving materials, and keeping a carpenter, bricklayer or dryliner supplied. The role is not a skilled trade under another name. When the work is joinery, electrics or plastering, hire that trade.

Hiyr is a marketplace for verified hiring, not an employer and not a labour agency. The provider sets the rate. Tax, CIS and employment status stay between the client and the provider.

• Who you hire: you shortlist ID-checked profiles and hire the person you choose. A labour agency sends someone from its own book.
• When you pay: posting the job is free. The service fee is shown before you confirm, and it applies when the hire is paid.
• What is checked: photo ID, right to work, a CSCS card and a trade certificate, reviewed before the profile can be hired.
• Who sets the rate: the labourer sets the hourly or day rate on the profile. You agree that rate when you hire.

The public labourer pages are two cities, each with its own copy and its own profile list. London covers turnstile sites from Stratford and Canary Wharf to the City fringe and outer commercial sheds. Birmingham covers Digbeth, Eastside, the city centre and Edgbaston, and it asks you to name Black Country towns when the site is not in Birmingham.

Other UK cities are not given doorway pages. If your site is elsewhere, post the job with the real town. This hub does not pretend there is a labourer page for every city, and it does not fill a gap with providers from outside the UK or with test profiles.

A construction recruitment agency, or a construction staffing agency, is usually hunting permanent or long-contract site staff. That is a different search from a few days of CSCS labour. Hiyr does not place people into permanent jobs and it is not a staffing agency. Use it when you want to hire a labourer for the dates on the job.

Posting a job is free. Searching providers is free. Hiyr charges a platform fee only when you pay for a hire at checkout, and the fee is shown before you confirm. You hire on the platform. Contact details are not packaged and sold as a lead.

Write the postcode, the dates, the CSCS colour and the tasks. Read the profiles that match. Hire on Hiyr and pay at checkout, where the service fee is shown. The labourer is paid through the platform for that hire. You are not buying a bundle of phone numbers.

If you hold a labourer card and want work, the worker pages are separate from these hiring pages. Create a free profile, get verified, and clients can hire you directly.

These Hiyr pages sit beside this one. Open a page to read that trade, or a comparison where it is linked.
