More about how Hiyr works for labourers

If you want CSCS labourer jobs in Birmingham, or labourer jobs across the inner West Midlands, Hiyr is a marketplace where clients hire you directly. Create a free profile, get verified, and get paid through Hiyr when a client hires you. Hiyr is not a labour agency and it does not employ you.

Clients in Birmingham post the site and the dates, then choose who to hire. You are not on an agency book. Gangs here are often small, so a clear profile matters: Digbeth and Eastside conversions, city-centre fit-out, Edgbaston houses, and units by the Jewellery Quarter and the ring road are the jobs that get posted.

Say which of those you will travel to. If you also cover Wolverhampton, Walsall, West Bromwich or Solihull, say so in the profile. A Birmingham page is not a promise that every West Midlands town is your patch. Pay for a completed hire goes through Hiyr.

More about what you need

The same construction checks apply: photo ID, proof of right to work, a CSCS card and a trade certificate, reviewed before you can be hired. Principal-contractor gates in the city expect a card. A green labourer card is the usual minimum for general site work.

Read the card guide for the route, and the day-rate guide before you set a figure. Hiyr does not publish a Birmingham price list. Travel beyond the M6 toll is a conversation with the client, not a default.

Is Hiyr a labour agency?

No. Hiyr is a marketplace. Clients hire you directly. Hiyr does not employ you and it does not supply labour the way an agency does.

Do I pay to create a profile?

No. Creating a profile and getting verified is free. You are paid through Hiyr when a client pays for a hire.

What documents do I need?

Photo ID, proof of right to work, a CSCS card and a trade certificate. General site labour is usually the green labourer card.

Does a Birmingham profile cover the Black Country?

Only if you say so and you accept the job. Write Wolverhampton, Walsall, West Bromwich or Solihull on your profile when you will travel there. This page matches Birmingham locations.
